"Chocolate Lover's" Candy Recipe
The Story Behind The Chocolate Lover's Candy Recipe
Have you ever heard of Chocolate Charlie? It is a candy only available at Christmas time in the Michiana area.
My son n' law makes his own version of chocolate charlie. His ingredients include chocolate chips, large marshmallows, caramel and peanuts. This past Christmas my daughter asked him not to add the caramel, so he used peanut butter instead. He throws it all together without measuring any of the ingredients. It is Scrumpdillyicious!
It was so good I started playing with the recipe to get exact measurements to make sure it turned out good every time. Here is the recipe. It is simple and delicious and the best thing is you can have it anytime of the year, not just Christmas.
To tell you how much I love chocolate, my neice bought me two t-shirts. One reads: Chocolate... here today...gone tomorrow, the other reads: Forget Love...I'd rather fall in Chocolate. The later is my favorite.
